Find out about the Renters Rights Act at free forum

Landlords are invited to a special forum to hear updates on the Renters Rights Act and new waste and recycling rules.

It’s organised by Lancaster city council and taking place at Morecambe Town Hall on Monday January 19 from 6pm to 8pm.

The event will bring together council officers, private landlords, and property managers for presentations, discussion, and practical guidance.

Several external speakers will join council officers to outline key changes landlords need to be aware of as laws come into effect.

Council leader Caroline Jackson says: “Landlords play a vital role in providing safe, well managed homes across our district, and we want to support them as new national legislation comes into force.

“The Landlords’ Forum is a great opportunity to understand upcoming changes, ask questions, and get practical guidance from our officers and external experts.”

The first half will be an overview of the new Renters Rights Act, what it will mean for landlords, and how to prepare.

Council waste and recycling officers will talk on landlord responsibilities relating to waste management changes.

The second hour of the event will be dedicated to networking and informal conversations.
