Renters Rights Bill and Budget briefing for landlords next month

Worcestershire agency Nicol & Co is holding a free seminar for landlords on Renters Rights Bill and Rachel Reeves’ upcoming Budget.

Managing director Matt Nicol says: “Our panel will each be offering practical knowledge and guidance on key issues currently shaping the lettings market.”

James Gwynne, lettings manager at Nicol & Co, will cover changes linked to the Bill and the November 26 Budget.

Neil Seager, associate partner at Ormerod Rutter Chartered Accountants, will be sharing tax advice and tips tailored specifically for landlords.

Martyn Davies and Vanessa Tuzzio from Mindful Financial Planning will also be on hand to answer questions relating to buy-to-let mortgages and investment strategies.

Rob McKechnie, managing director of SJL Insurance Services in Worcester, will provide expert guidance on landlord insurance and risk management.

Nicol adds: “With so much change facing landlords in 2025, the seminar offers an opportunity to hear first-hand from industry professionals, ask questions, and take away valuable insights to help navigate the months ahead.

“This seminar is about equipping landlords with the knowledge and confidence they need in a fast-changing property landscape. Whether it’s new legislation, tax changes, or ensuring the right insurance cover, our expert speakers will deliver the practical advice landlords need right now.”

The event from 6pm on October 9 is free, but advance registration is required at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/landlord-seminar-with-nicol-co-tickets-1367020197209
